Spring is finally here!

Cath has the garden in our back portal (patio for you Yankees) looking great! Lots of plants are in full bloom and more to come. We added some pictures of our latest visitor, a bobcat, to our critters section in Art & Photography

90th Birthday Party

We took a quick trip up to Tacoma in late April to celebrate Cath’s dad Dan’s 90th birthday. Dan was still recovering from a massive infection he got last December. He was just declared free of the infection before we got there but he had gotten behind in his day to day activities. So we ran a lot of errands for him and helped him get organized again. It was good to see him almost back to normal active self. It was rainy and cloudy almost the whole time we where there and that along with the traffic reminded us of why we moved to Santa Fe.

Local events & the great outdoors

We have been doing volunteer trail maintenance work for a couple of years and this year we will be working with the IMBA/Subaru Trail Crew. The International Mountain Biking Association IMBA and Subaru send volunteers all over the country to help local groups with trail building and maintenance. They will be here July 8, 9, 10 and we hope to show them a good time and get a lot done on our trails. This year we have started working the Forest Service and that’s been fun. Here are a couple links on Santa Fe trails: Trail maps and Trail maintenance

Cath is still painting a lot and loves her studio tucked in at the end of the house. Steve makes furniture and tin & copper objects while working away on the endless project list provided by his dear wife.
